History

2012

The institute launched its sixth degree – a Bachelor of Hospitality Management.

2013

The institute’s first offshore site at Manav Rachna International University in Faridabad, India, received NZQA accreditation for the delivery of diplomas in International Business and Information Technology, with students graduating with Level 6 diplomas since 2015.

2014

The institute rebranded from AIS St Helens to Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS), with a focus on four guiding values: quality education, supportive environment, individual focus and real world success. A major external review by NZQA resulted in the achievement of “Category 1” status.

2015

25th anniversary celebrations throughout the year marked the first quarter-century of AIS. A Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management was launched.

2016

NZQA approval was granted to rename the BIB to Bachelor of Business to broaden its appeal, and the first New Zealand diplomas were approved in Tourism and Travel, and Hospitality Management.

2018

Programme development has continued with the approval of a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology, and accreditation of a site in Wellington for the Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management.
