The institute launched its sixth degree – a Bachelor of Hospitality Management.
The institute’s first offshore site at Manav Rachna International University in Faridabad, India, received NZQA accreditation for the delivery of diplomas in International Business and Information Technology, with students graduating with Level 6 diplomas since 2015.
The institute rebranded from AIS St Helens to Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS), with a focus on four guiding values: quality education, supportive environment, individual focus and real world success. A major external review by NZQA resulted in the achievement of “Category 1” status.
25th anniversary celebrations throughout the year marked the first quarter-century of AIS. A Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management was launched.
NZQA approval was granted to rename the BIB to Bachelor of Business to broaden its appeal, and the first New Zealand diplomas were approved in Tourism and Travel, and Hospitality Management.
Programme development has continued with the approval of a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology, and accreditation of a site in Wellington for the Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management.
